Job Description

NoMuda creates VisualFactory, a web-based manufacturing system used by companies around the world. Our customers are major manufacturing organisations including Volvo, Saab, Mercedes-Benz and Terex. The system can be deployed on-premise or on the cloud. The software is used to provide detailed manufacturing instructions and collect manufacturing data.

To ensure that we are creating a delivering the very best we can to our customers, we are looking for people to join our technical team as developers.

What will I be developing with?

To give you an idea of our technology stack, our production code is written using:

  • Angular JS & Angular 7+
  • TypeScript
  • Bootstrap 3 & 4
  • CSS & SCSS
  • ASP.NET 4.6 MVC using Web API’s
  • Dot Net Core 2.2+
  • C#
  • MS SQL
  • Git

If you have experience with most of these technologies, we’d really like to hear from you. If there are some you haven’t been exposed to yet we would be happy to bring you up to speed.

This is not an exhaustive list, but the main ones. Some other skills we would find useful include:

  • Knowledge of a manufacturing environment and LEAN methodologies (to understand our customers)
  • Working in an Agile environment (how we work)
  • Using JIRA
  • Mentoring junior developers
  • Industry standards such as Modbus or OPC.

What else do I need?

Full stack mentality - You will be involved in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for both new software features and bug fixes. Naturally, there will be areas you can specialise in, but the ability to jump in where needed is important.

An eye for detail – Our customers rely on us for huge projects. We want things to be right first time.

Ability to work with other departments – To make sure everything works as smoothly as possible, you will be working in partnership with our Customer Success team.

Your own transport – Our office is in a beautiful rural location, but public transport has “plenty of room for improvement”.
